This wall was designed to test plants for their ability to remove particulate matter from the air. Commissioned by TfL and funded by the Clean Air Fund, I selected a range of plants thought most likely (by leaf shape/type) to trap particulates.

The foliage was tested by Imperial College London and a list of species with their abilities is now available, although a lot more testing is needed. This has become London's most iconic living wall.
